Your Privacy
You are sharing your personal data with Randonneurs NL ("RNL"). We believe it's important to be careful with personal data and deal with them responsibly. Part of which is transparency on why and how we use your personal data and describing your rights. Do not hesitate to email us at secretaris@randonneurs.nl if you still have questions after reading this page.
Purpose
We collect and store your personal data for our membership administration and for processing participation and payment of our brevets
Access
- logged-in randonneurs1 will see your name, whether you're a paying member of RNL, which brevets you signed up for and/or finished (including how fast)
- the brevet organisator can download an Excel of the participants with your contact details and, when available, your gender
- data sent to Audax Club Parisien (see below) will pass through the mailbox of the Dutch representative for the ACP: Gerrit Schotman
- RNL board members have access to all the data.
1 accounts which have finished at least one brevet; merely creating an account is not sufficient to see this data
Disclosure to Third Parties
For paid memberships of RNL we have sent your data, including address, to the membership administration of the national tour cycling union ("NTFU"). RNL has a processing agreement with NTFU
If you finish a brevet (upto 1000km) then we'll send your name, gender (if known), cycling club and finish time to the brevet administration of Audax Club Parisien. For brevets over 1000km this data will be sent to Les Randonneurs Mondiaux
Storage and retention period
The website and its data are hosted on our own virtual private server in the Netherlands at Transip. Personal and participation data goes back to mid 2016 and we do not have an automatic limitation/removal procedure; we only delete data when explicitly asked to do so (see last item on this page).
The board uses Dropbox (USA), Whatsapp (USA) and e-mail (Transip, Netherlands). After the introduction of the new website (autumn 2024) these are only used by exception to process personal data.
Cookies
We only use functional cookies, there is no tracking.
Discovery, correction and deletion
You have the right to request RNL for a full disclosure of all the data that we have on you and also to update, delete or shield your data. If you wish your data to be deleted then we'll also forward this request to any organisations who have received your data from us.
We do require proof of identification for these requests.
