• We hebben brevetten die naar het laagste punt van Nederland gaan, naar het meest oostelijk punt, en het meest westelijk punt. Nu hebben we de kans naar het hart van het land te gaan en het middelpunt van Nederland te bezoeken.

  Startend vanuit Amsterdam, langs Muiden, gaan we noordelijk van Amersfoort naar de heuvels van de Veluwe. We passeren de steen die het middelpunt van Nederland zou markeren voordat we verder de Veluwe in gaan naar onze eerste controle in Hoenderloo. Onze tour van de Veluwe gaat dan verder langs Ede en Veenendaal naar de Utrechtse Heuvelrug, waar we de Amerongseberg vanuit het noorden beklimmen.

  Na de tweede controle in Amerongen gaan we richting het noord-westen door de Utrechtse Heuvelrug naar Maarsen en de laatste controle. Wat ons nu rest is het laatste deel naar het noorden, langs het Amsterdam-Rijn kanaal, terug naar Madmen fietscafe in Amsterdam.Een groot deel van de route gaat door bebost terrein, dus prettig afgeschermd van de wind.

  We have brevets that visit the lowest point of the Netherlands, the most easterly point, and the most westerly point. Now we get the chance to get to the heart of the country and visit the (supposed) centre most point of the Netherlands.

  Heading out of Amsterdam past Muiden, we skirt north of Amersfoort into the hills of the Veluwe. We pass the boulder supposedly marking the centre of the Netherlands before heading further into the Veluwe to our first control at Hoenderloo. Our tour of the Veluwe then takes us past Ede and Veenendaal to the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Assending the Amerongseberg from the north.

  After our second control in Amerongen, we head north west through the Utrechtse Heuvelrug to Maarsen and our final control. All that is left is the northerly leg along the Amsterdam Rhine Canal back to Madmen cycle cafe in Amsterdam.

  Much of the route is through woodland, providing welcome shelter from the wind.

  In verband met het COVID-19 (Corona) is het brevet geannuleerd, diegene die het inschrijfgeld hebben betaald wordt dit gerestitueerd.
